Parque Saval and Alfajores

Chilean food of the day: alfajores.
They are cookie sandwiches with manjar (dulce de leche) in the middle.

Yesterday we visited the closest park to where we live, called Parque Saval. There was an entrance fee of 400 pesos or about 85 cents, because the park is very well maintained and gets a lot of traffic in the summer. Since it is definitely still winter, we had the place to ourselves. My favorite part of the park was not the pond full of lily pads, or the sculpture garden, or the huge playground, but the enormous trees.
