This morning we hopped on the bus to Niebla, got off at the last stop, and walked to the next beach town over, called Los Molinos. The walk was full of crazy turns and hills, and wild views of beaches far below us and tree-covered cliffs. Signs told us we were walking on a tsunami evacuation route.
It was freezing cold and cloudy in Valdivia, but just along the coast the sun came out and we could see everything but the tops of the hills covered in fog. Fishermen cruise the bay in their colorful boats to sell mariscos, seafood, either on shore or to passing boats.
