Results of the big vote at the Universidad Austral: Yes. College classes have started for a very short, very compacted 2nd semester for Chilean students. Foreign students are finishing up our 2nd semester, which will end in the first week of December, whereas the semester that just started for the rest of the students will go at least until the end of January.
Below is one of the public high schools, which are still on strike. They like to make a mess of chairs and shove all of the furniture in the fence, this is how some of the other high schools on strike look as well.
Saturday there was a bike race on the costanera, the street that runs alongside the river. It was less of a race and more of an activity to promote healthy lifestyles. People of all ages were riding around town, although it was very unexpected.
Everything is still blooming, the weather is getting hot. This tree is called Notro and has some really interesting bright-red flowers.
